What do you do and why do you do it?
I help small business owners organize and automate their sales and fulfilment systems.
Tell us about a time that life handed you lemons. Did you make lemonade?
I was working myself to burnout for a company where I was not truly valued or respected, running the business as though it were my own and filling multiple roles to make it a success. I knew something had to give, and it wasn't going to be me. That is why in 2017 I decided to quit that job to do my own thing. I wanted to help even more small business owners and build a life that I love. Three months later, I was at a conference getting fired up with peers in my industry and I had an idea of what I was going to do but it was still so broad. There were just so many options. Not only that, I reverse-engineered the life of my dreams and began my journey as a 'digital nomad' by flying from that conference to Hanoi, Vietnam where I started my year-long world tour from Asia to Europe to Africa to South America and back again. I am eternally grateful for having the courage to take these giant leaps as it has landed me in a place where I am strong and confident to continue to grow and chase my dreams.
What's the best piece of business advice you were given?
Done is better than perfect. It really is a constant evolution and you can't do that sitting back and waiting for the exactly right move. Just keep taking one more step forward. Keep adding bricks to the wall. It's only when you look back you'll realize how far you've come.
What does success look like, feel like, taste like, and mean to you? How do YOU measure success?
Success to me is having the freedom to choose what I include in my life. Enjoy the truly beautiful experiences life has to offer. Doing what you are passionate about every day and being able to share all of this with others.
Do you have a quote or saying that inspires you? What is it?
So many quotes help me navigate different situations. Here is one: "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right" - Henry Ford
Do you ever have moments of self-doubt? What do you do to overcome it?
Pausing to appreciate where I am at this moment and be satisfied that any risk I take could give me the opportunity to reach a new level.
Do you have a mentor? What role have they played in your success?
I do not have a mentor though I am a lifelong learner and appreciate the many guides who have helped me along the way.
